SORBERMEL
SORBERMEL is made from an open-cell, flexible, melamine resin based foam, featuring a delicate three-dimensional filigree network structure, formed from slender, and hence readily thermoformable filaments.
This structure provides SORBERMEL its unique sound absorptive properties. The melamine backbone exhibits excellent resistance to hydrolysis and combustion. Applications • Marine engine compartment and cabin insulation • Machinery and equipment enclosures • Compressor and generator set enclosures • Air conditioners • Headlining • Electronic and electrical equipment • Wall and ceiling linings for plant and equipment rooms • Baffles, screens and partitions • Buses, trucks and cars-under-bonnet insulation and interior sound absorption
Benefits • Low installation cost • Long service life • Optimum performance • Clean to handle • Improved aesthetics with shaped, moulded and cut parts • Resists hydrolysis; will not rot • Combine with other materials to improve or focus performance • Self supporting, no additional structures required to maintain shape
