COVERAL 55 is a blend of pure mineral salts designed to respond to the new requirements of most environmental protection agencies seeking for low stack emission industrial practices. COVERAL 55 is a skimming flux suitable for all types of aluminium alloys with the exception of aluminium-magnesium alloys where a sodium free flux is required (COVERAL 66).
COVERAL 55 produces ash-like dross that easily separates from the liquid metal; skimming is thus facilitated and melt loss due to aluminium entrapment in the dross is reduced.
COVERAL 55 has the general characteristic of Pyrotek exclusive fluxes as follows: emissions of gaseous HF is well below the environmental limit values.
