INSURAL™ Mastic 3000 Sealing Compound
INSURAL™ MASTIC 3000 provides an airtight seal between the cathode bar and the end of the cathode, significantly reducing oxidation of the cathode. INSURAL MASTIC 3000 also acts as a compressible seal to close gaps in an anode baking oven between the oven’s long and short walls. Advantages - Asbestos free and non-wetting
- Excellent adhesion to fireproof materials
- Once spent, the material is easy to remove
- May be compressed without cracking
- Prevents anode oxidation in the bake oven by preventing penetration of air
- Easy to apply by hand or with a trowel
- Recommended maximum operating temperature 1100°C
